Cadbury Picnic Review
We have a Cadbury Picnic bar. It's different to the UK version as it doesn't have raisins. There is a version with raisins in Oz called the Picnic Frugly. Anyways I'm rambling. The wrapper says it's 'a combination of milk chocolate and peanuts, covering chewy nougat, caramel, biscuit (wafer) and puffed rice.' What? All that in one bar? Yuppers! It reminds me (in shape) of a Aussie Chokito bar or a Baby Ruth here in the States. That is where the similarities end. You have your normal Cadbury high quality chocolate smell upon opening it. With the first bite I thought holy crud this bar is dense. It's thick but pays off with a crispy wafer in the center. The caramel is chewy and gives way to peanuts and crispy rice and nougat. A small bite produces a big amount of chewing and lots of flavours and textures melding together and fusing together into something really good. As far as a rating I'd give this, 8.5/10. Have you tried this bar, the Frugly or the UK version? What did you think?
